Entopest moth pheromone is specifically designed to control the common clothes moth (also known as the web-web moth) and is ineffective against other moth species.

The Entopest moth pheromone trap releases a synthetic moth sex pheromone (bait) that attracts male moths to an inescapable sticky surface. Attracting male moths helps disrupt the moth's life cycle, thus controlling established infestations. Additionally, the trap can be used as a proactive preventative measure, capturing male moths before they establish a pest infestation, or to detect potential pests in the home.

Once set up, the trap should be placed directly in the areas most infested. The trap's hook design is flexible; it can be hung directly on clotheslines or doorknobs, placed in confined spaces (its low profile makes it easy to operate), or fixed directly to the wall using integrated nail holes.

It is important to note that this bait pheromone is only effective against the clothes moth (Tineola bisselliella). It also attracts some closely related species, such as the clothes moth (Tinea pellionella) and the pale-backed clothes moth (Monopis crocicapitella). However, there is no guarantee that it will capture the clothes moth using these species.

The pheromone sticky pad contains a slow-release pheromone attractant, eliminating the need for additional attractant tablets. After removing the adhesive backing, the pad can be used for approximately 8-12 weeks, but this may be shortened in dusty environments. Regularly check the pad to ensure it remains sticky.

Pheromone traps should not be considered the sole control method, especially in cases of severe infestation. Other auxiliary treatments should be used, such as insecticidal smoke, powders, and sprays, ideally targeting specific areas of infestation activity. Pheromone traps should be considered an important reference for locating sources of infestation activity.
