The all-new 2018 upgraded Vortex Viper HD 8x42 binoculars feature a wider field of view and longer eye relief, providing a more comfortable viewing experience and easier handling.

These binoculars are equipped with Vortex’s exclusive XR fully multi-coated optics, effectively enhancing light transmission throughout the optical path and improving contrast and color fidelity. The slim roof prisms feature dielectric coatings and phase-correction layers to minimize internal reflections, light leakage, and diffraction while ensuring maximum prism system light transmission.

These advanced technologies work together to deliver a bright, clear, and exceptionally sharp view, offering high contrast, true color reproduction, and ultimate resolution. The larger objective lenses increase light-gathering capability, ensuring bright and clear images even in low-light conditions, such as at dawn or dusk, under dense foliage, or beneath thick clouds.

The Viper HD’s durability matches its outstanding optical performance, designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. The optical barrels are sealed with O-rings and filled with argon gas for waterproof and fog-proof performance, maintaining reliability even during sudden weather changes or accidental immersion. The optical components are protected by a polycarbonate housing, which is lightweight and durable and avoids image distortion caused by metal expansion or contraction.

For added convenience, Vortex includes a GlassPak binocular harness case to protect the binoculars when not in use and keep them close to the body to prevent swinging while traversing rugged terrain. Objective lens covers and an integrated eyepiece rain guard protect the external lens surfaces. The lens covers and rain guard are securely attached to the body and harness to ensure safety during use.
