The Pentax PF-65ED II spotting scope body is designed for precise outdoor observation. Compared with its predecessor, it further reduces chromatic aberration to deliver more natural and accurate colors.

These spotting scopes use 1.25-inch diameter eyepieces, which minimize optical path compression caused by the objective lens, resulting in larger and deeper images with improved depth of field. This is an excellent feature because, in addition to Pentax’s own outstanding eyepieces, you can also use premium astronomical eyepieces from top manufacturers such as Meade, Celestron, and the renowned Tele Vue. The PF-65ED II has a focal length of 390mm, so when using a standard 1.25-inch eyepiece, you can calculate the effective magnification by dividing 390mm by the eyepiece’s focal length. The Pentax ED series performs exceptionally well under various lighting and weather conditions, and thanks to its metal alloy body, it is also lightweight and durable.
